Food and Fashion Festival “Luju” Expands to Two Days
JOHANNESBURG — The Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival has announced a historic expansion: for the first time it will run across two full days (Aug 1–2, 2026) in Malkerns, Eswatini. Organizers say rising demand has driven the change. According to the festival website, over 12,000 visitors are expected from across southern Africa. The event will showcase African culinary “feasts,” high-end fashion shows, live Afrocentric music, and family entertainment. House On Fire, a cultural venue in Malkerns, will host the festival’s first two-day edition. Early-bird and standard tickets went on sale in late Feb (via Standard Bank’s Unayo platform) and quickly sold out, reflecting the festival’s growing popularity. Standard Bank (Eswatini) is continuing its sponsorship of the 8th Luju festival, which is themed “A Return to the African Future” – celebrating heritage and innovation.
